What is Tirzepatide?

Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in one of the top diabetes drugs on the market today.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration(FDA) first approved the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide(GIP) diabetes medication (tirzepatide) in May 2022.

Tirzepatide belongs to the same class of drugs as another FDA-approved GLP-1 weight loss drug called semaglutide.

Hos Does Tirzepatide Work?

GLP-1 medications have been FDA approved for type 2

diabetes because of their ability to lower blood sugar and raise insulin levels.

They work by mimicking a hormone called GLP-1 that the body releases after a meal, signaling fullness and lowering appetite. They

also slow down gastric emptying, so food moves slower through the stomach.  In addition to their affect on blood sugar, these injections are excellent at promoting weight loss.

Why Choose Tirzepatide?

Both GIP and GLP-1 receptors are found in areas of the human brain important for appetite regulation.

Current clinical research has found that because tirzepatide also activates the GIP receptor, it has been proven more effective than semaglutide!
